What Is a Dartboard?
A dartboard is an important piece of equipment in the game of darts. It is a rectangular board with 25 segments separated by a ring. These segments are called “segments.” The segments are divided into groups of 1 through 20 and are numbered accordingly. Most boards have a double ring around the “bullseye” at the center. A good dartboard is very durable, but it is also essential to rotate it regularly to prevent permanent damage to the darts.
Dartboards have points ranging from one to twenty. The corresponding semicircles indicate whether a point is single, double, or triple. If the dart hits the semicircle in the middle of a row, it is a triple. The highest score is 180. This is known as a ton-eighty. A good board should be made of a dense material that is resistant to wear and tear.
The bullseye is a classic dartboard pattern with two smaller circles at the center and two larger circles near the outside edges. A perfect bullseye must be in the center of the board with your non-throwing hand. The bullseye is a definite finisher in a game of darts. There are also other patterns, such as the bullseye pattern, which require the player to use a non-throwing hand to hit the board.
